Junior Contracts Administrator

About This Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure and order materials for active projects
  • Prepare and submit contract variations for review
  • Generate and submit monthly progress claims in line with contract terms
  • Evaluate payment schedules against submitted claims
  • Maintain WHS management plans and assist with safety submissions
  • Assist with QA systems and prepare relevant submissions
  • Submit contract deliverables pre- and post-award
  • Collaborate on monthly job costing and Profit & Loss analysis
  • Maintain and manage cost-coded purchase order system
  • Review and co-authorise invoices with Project Manager
  • Manage cloud-based filing systems and digital records
  • Compile and submit O&M manuals and associated close-out documentation
  • Archive contract documentation appropriately
  • Conduct site inspections and report findings to management

Requirements:

  • A current driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, and Jobpac
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Enthusiastic about developing a career in construction/project management

Nice to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a construction or project admin role
  • Familiarity with QA/QC standards and WHS compliance
  • Exposure to cost control or accounting systems within a project setting
